Cookie Policy

1. What this website uses today

As of the date shown at the top of this page, plisir.com is a static website. It does not use analytics, advertising tags, embedded video, social widgets, chat tools, external fonts or any other third-party script.

As a result, this website currently sets no cookies, does not read cookies previously set by others, and does not write to local storage, session storage or any equivalent client-side identifier. There is nothing to consent to, and consequently no consent banner.

If you inspect this site in your browser’s developer tools, you should see no cookies and no requests to domains other than plisir.com. If you find otherwise, we would genuinely like to know: contact@plisir.com.

This is expected to change. We intend to introduce website analytics. Section 3 sets out what that will involve and what will happen when it goes live. Until then, section 3 describes an intention, not current practice.

2. Server logs are not cookies

Our hosting provider records standard request information — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — as part of delivering the site and protecting it from abuse. This is server-side logging, not a cookie, and it is not used to track you across sites.

3. Website analytics — planned, not yet active

We intend to add analytics to plisir.com so that we can see which pages are read and how visitors arrive. When it is live, the following will apply.

What it will measure. Aggregate page views, referring source, approximate country or region derived from IP address, device and browser type, and broad navigation paths through the site.

What it will not do. We will not use website analytics to build advertising profiles of visitors to this site, and we will not connect it to the advertising services described in section 4. Data from this website stays separate from our advertising business.

Cookies and identifiers. Depending on the tool selected, this may involve a first-party analytics cookie or an equivalent local identifier, retained for a limited period. Some analytics tools operate entirely server-side with no client-side storage at all, and we will prefer one of those where it meets our needs.

Consent. Where applicable law requires consent for analytics — including under the GDPR and equivalent frameworks — a consent banner will be presented before any non-essential cookie or identifier is set. It will offer a genuine option to refuse, refusing will be no harder than accepting, and you will be able to change your choice at any time.

This document. Section 1 and this section will be updated on the day the tool goes live, not afterwards.

4. Cookies and identifiers in our advertising services

Plisir’s business is advertising technology operating on the websites and applications of our publisher and retailer partners. Those services do use cookies and similar identifiers. That is a separate context from this website, and it is governed by the privacy notice and consent mechanism of the property you are visiting, together with our Privacy Policy.

Categories used

Strictly necessary. Security, fraud detection, invalid traffic filtering and load balancing. These are required for the service to function safely.

Functional. Storing preferences such as frequency capping state, so the same advertisement is not repeated excessively.

Measurement. Counting impressions, clicks and conversions, and attributing them to a campaign.

Advertising and personalisation. Selecting advertising based on context and, where permitted, on inferred interests or prior behaviour.

Similar technologies

Alongside cookies, the advertising industry uses mobile advertising identifiers supplied by the device operating system, pixel tags, software development kits embedded in applications, and — in some configurations — server-to-server identifiers that do not involve any client-side storage. Where we use these, they serve the purposes listed above.

5. How to control them

On this website. Nothing to control at present. Once analytics is live, the consent banner described in section 3 will be the place to accept or refuse, and to change your mind later.

On partner properties. Consent and preference choices are collected by the publisher or retailer whose site or app you are visiting, through their consent management platform. You can change your choice there at any time, usually via a “cookie settings” or “privacy preferences” link in their footer.

In your browser. All major browsers let you block or delete cookies, and most offer a setting to reject third-party cookies entirely. Blocking cookies will not stop you from using websites, though some functionality may degrade.

On mobile devices. Both iOS and Android provide a setting to limit ad tracking or reset the advertising identifier, in the system privacy settings.

Through opt-out tools. Industry opt-out mechanisms are available through the Digital Advertising Alliance, the Network Advertising Initiative and, in Europe, Your Online Choices.

Through preference signals. Where required by applicable United States state law, we honour the Global Privacy Control signal.

6. Changes

If this website adds any tool that sets cookies or equivalent identifiers, this policy will be updated and the corresponding consent mechanism implemented before that tool goes live — not after.
